James 1:12

Blessed [is] the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

    I think this scripture encourages us to resist temptation and that there is a reward to everyone that overcomes. Though it says “For when he is tried he shall receive the crown of life”. Note that We do not receive the crown of life just for being tried or being tempted. We recieve the crown for overcoming the trials and temptations. See revelations 3:5&12

    Thank you Ken, you just strengthened me. I was facing some temptation and just had repentad to overcome it. I know that God is faithful he shall give me the strength and wisdom i need to stand. Have a good day.

    How very true is that. We shouldn’t believe in stupid sayings like “Is better to regret what you have done, than what you haven’t tried”, bla bla –
    I remember the other day I was tempted. I have withstand, though. I look backwards now and I am proud I haven’t done that and I know Our Lord was pleased to see that. After resisting temptations God puts this sort of natural will to do good and live your life the only right way – which is by his word or at least trying to get as close to it, as possible. There’s no other way to be happy as happiness is a stand, so to speak and temptation can only bring a moment of flair…
